My name is William McGinn and this is my e-portfolio.

I’m a Canadian journalist and novelist with dozens of dreams in the world. I’ve been a movie and book blogger since 2014, I have self-published a series of five titled The Blacktop Brothers, and I have experimented in several fields on my own terms. I feel my biggest strength is storytelling and my biggest turmoil is bullying. With my expertise in writing I can make even the most tedious story enticing.

I managed to uncover a mystery that has been on the radar of old cartoon fans for years. The 3D cartoon, Monster by Mistake, disappeared from television and online almost entirely. After painstaking research and dead ends everywhere, I managed to find all the episodes and return them to the public. I have done stories on lots of other subjects including teachers on the 2017 Ontario College Strike picket line, a young man who saved a stranger’s life by caring about him and preventing him from committing suicide, and I have published over 500 movie and book reviews on my other site, Weldon Witness. However, finding an entire long lost TV show is my proudest story.

While also a journalist, I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication & Digital Media, and I’ve also tackled various writing and acting projects. I rewrote the first Blacktop Brothers book in 2018, and this year in 2020, I’ve written two new novels; The Shoreline & Cerebra, all of which I’m working towards getting internationally published. I have voice acting experience; I’ve been coached by Canadian voice actor Ron Rubin, and I’ve been told by numerous people I have what it takes to act. I’m currently seeing what I can come up with there.

I have experience in multiple levels of Journalism, Writing and Art and I look forward to anyone who wants to talk to me.
